Our History

1947
Foundation
Our foundation goes back to the Polytechnical Professional School of Father José María Arizmendiarrieta, founded in 1947 in the Basque Country, he also founded Mondragon Corporation in 1943. In the 50s he also founded FAGOR cooperative company with a group of graduate students. -
2011
Mexico
In 2011, the Corporation acquired the UCO University of Querétaro, integrating it into the MONDRAGON International Education Network (MEI), with professional schools also in Colombia and Saudi Arabia. MEI has a 70-year history of educational services focused on people, the community, and solidarity. -

A new beginning
Currently, Mondragón Mexico University has 22 professional degrees, 9 executive degrees and 10 master's degrees and is located within the best private universities in the country, endorsed by the Federation of Private Mexican Institutions of Higher Education (FIMPES).
